Renovation of a dilapidated cottage. Work included a total structural overhaul of the building which had been gently falling apart for many years. The overriding principle was to retain or reuse the existing building fabric as far as possible, and where it could not be retained in place, it was reused within the building or absorbed into the grounds. From underpinning the foundations to rebuilding the roof, and everything in-between, this was a personal conservation project, aiming to retain the character of this quirky building, whilst bringing it into a habitable and delightful state.
